Century Old Cannery Overlooking The Columbia River. The Cannery Cafe is located at the foot of 6th Street in Astoria. Come watch the Columbia River roll by while dining in a century old cannery. Lunch and dinner are available on the riverside of the restaurant. They feature the freshest food, original wine and beer selections with a full bar, and desserts are all hand-made. March through October, weather permitting, they have outdoor seating on the deck. Breakfast is served on the Sunny Side of the restaurant along with casual and comfortable lunch service, an ice cream bar and a small gift shop.

Portway Tavern
Since 1920 - Open 7 Days A Week for Lunch & Dinner. "Astoria's Finest Burger" By The Daily Astorian Newspaper. Great Beer Batter Halibut Fish & Chips, Charbroil Steaks, Hamburgers, Clam Chowder, The Portway, built in 1923 is the oldest watering hole in the oldest American settlement west of the Rockies. The Portway seems to still hold the spirit of Portway Paul, or at least our bartenders believe so. Stop by and see the history: The building looks much like it did in 1923. It has a Shanghaied door. Ask where the "fightin pit" is. The upstairs has recently been remodeled but it still has a fancy staircase to a long hall with bedrooms on the right, bathrooms on the left. Great Fish and Chips; best burgers in town; great steaks. Bass, Guiness and Micros on tap, single malts available. 18 wines by the glass.
